Annual sales returns from retailers, manufacturers and importers of notifiable products, including vaping products, herbal smoking products and smokeless tobacco products.
Requirement to publish
The Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Act 1990 requires the Ministry of Health to publish these returns.
Section 100(3)(a) of the Act states that the Director General must take all practicable steps to ensure that all returns and reports received under this section are publicly available on an Internet site under the Director-General’s control.
Publication of returns
The 2022 year only included retailers classed as Specialist Vape Retailers, and 2023 onwards will include all retailers. Returns from 2023 will be published later in 2024.
