Section 100 of the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Act 1990 (the Act) requires all retailers, manufacturers, and importers of notifiable products send the VRA their sales related information every year. This is called an annual return.
Annual returns for 2023 year
The Ministry of Health is now asking retailers, importers and manufacturers of regulated products (vaping, smokeless tobacco and herbal smoking products) to submit their annual sales return for the 2023 calendar year. You can find the template to complete below.
Please complete the return and send to the ministry of Health by midnight Sunday 28 April 2024.
Use the below template to complete your return and email it to [email protected]. When naming your return document:
- include the name of your business and the town or city it is in, and
- include the name and HARP AVP/RPS/AIS number for the business in each return, so we can match it to your business.
Retailers must submit a separate return for each store, including online stores.
If you are an importer or manufacturer (a ‘notifier’), you must submit one return.
If you are a retailer and an importer or manufacturer, you must submit a return for the retail store, and another separate return as a manufacturer or importer (notifier).
