Immunisation publications

Outreach Immunisation Services (OIS) are an important tool for increasing childhood immunisation coverage. In order to identify the most effective and cost-effective approaches to OIS, the Ministry contracted the Immunisation Advisory Centre (IMAC) to carry out a national review of OIS in 2015. 

This publication outlines the Ministry of Health’s plan for progressing and revitalising the National HPV Immunisation Programme for 12-year-old girls.

Explores parents’ decisions and reasons for delaying the primary course of immunisations and tests messages to encourage and support parents to immunise their infants on time.

These guidelines are for providers to ensure that vaccines delivered within New Zealand have been stored correctly to maximise their effectiveness.  These guidelines supercede the Vaccine Storage and Distribution National Standards 2002 and supplement the cold chain policy in the Immunisation Handbook 2011. The integrity of the cold chain is dependent not only on the equipment used, but also the people involved and the practices they undertake.
