Vaping product public warning
The Ministry of Health has issued a public warning about the Suntree - Vanilla Cream (30ml) vaping product, as it contains a higher amount of Diacetyl than is legally permitted. Diacetyl is known to be associated with lung injury.

The Ministry works with New Zealand Institute for Public Health and Forensic Science (PHF Science), formerly the Institute of Environmental Science and Research (ESR), to test the nicotine concentration in vaping products.
Results from this testing is provided in the table below (note: product barcodes can be found in downloadable table). The products in this table have been found to be non-compliant with nicotine concentrations as required by the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Regulations and are now prohibited for sale.
