Current situation

COVID-19 cases in the community

As at 16 October 2021 there are 665 active cases of COVID-19 in New Zealand, including 646 community cases that are being managed.

Anyone who returns a positive COVID-19 test is required to enter a managed isolation facility for 14 days.

Testing

Alert levels

Auckland, Northland, and parts of Waikato are at Alert Level 3. 

The rest of New Zealand is at Alert Level 2.
