The release of the Pae Ora | Healthy Futures strategies in July 2023 marked a significant milestone on our health reforms journey.

In acknowledging those strategies, it’s important we recognise the contributions from our communities, whānau, hapū, iwi, health sector groups, and community organisations.

Their voices were weaved together with the insights from previous Māori engagements and were used to inform the development of all our strategies, especially Pae Tū: Hauora Māori Strategy.

Ngā Wānanga Pae Ora 2023 – Summary Report gives visibility to those voices. It details our engagement process and summarises the key themes, priorities, and reflections shared.

This report reflects our commitment to working with our stakeholders, partners, and audiences to deliver strategies that honour their aspirations.

This is the continuation of a long journey in Māori health, one that we are dedicated to in the long run.
