The Office of the Director of Mental Health and Addiction Services Regulatory Report 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021 provides information and statistics relating to the role of the Director of Mental Health and Addiction Services in the mental health and addiction sector. It presents data about the use of compulsory assessment and treatment legislation in Aotearoa New Zealand, including the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992 and the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003.

Note that we have changed the reporting period for this report to financial year rather than calendar year to align with other annual reporting from Manatū Hauora.
