Applications received for assessment against the minimum product quality standard under the Misuse of Drugs (Medicinal Cannabis) Regulations 2019

This page contains information about all New Medicinal Cannabis Product applications for dosage products, dried products and cannabis-based ingredients (applications) that have been received by the Medicinal Cannabis Agency since 1 April 2020 (Table 1), and the status of each application (Table 2).

Date received	The date that the Agency received the application.

Status	Received The Agency has received the application. The fee for the initial check of the application has not been paid. The initial check will start when the fee for the initial check has been paid.
	Initial check The application is being checked to see whether it appears to be in order. The purpose of the initial check is to ensure the application appears to have been completed in full and is ready for assessment.
	Not accepted for assessment The application has undergone an initial check and the application does not appear to be in order. The application has been returned to the applicant.
	Awaiting payment The application has been accepted for assessment and the Agency has invoiced the applicant for the assessment. Assessment of the application will start when the assessment fee has been paid.
	Under assessment The Agency’s assessment of the application is underway. The timeframe for assessment of a product application depends on the quality of the information provided in the initial application, the ability of the applicant to demonstrate that they meet the requirements of the legislation and where appropriate, the time taken to respond to the Agency’s request(s) for further information.
	Verified* The Agency’s assessment of the application is complete. The product is verified as meeting the minimum quality standard.
	Withdrawn The applicant has requested in writing that the application be withdrawn from assessment. The application is no longer being assessed.
	Not verified The Agency’s assessment of the application is complete. The product is not verified as meeting the minimum quality standard. The application is no longer being assessed.

The page will be updated on a monthly basis to update the status of applications, and to include new applications that have been received.

If an application for a product assessment has not been accepted for assessment, withdrawn, or not verified as meeting the minimum quality standard, this does not prevent the applicant from resubmitting a new medicinal cannabis product application for assessment.
