This Cabinet material is the result of an agreement to undertake a select committee inquiry into aged care provision. In 2024, the Health Select Committee began an inquiry into the aged care sector's current and future capacity to provide support services for people experiencing neurological cognitive disorders. The Committee published its final report on 21 November 2025; the Government's response was presented to the House on 10 March 2026.
