About the library and online catalogue

The Ministry of Health online catalogue contains our hard-copy books, serials and publications as well as access to our extensive repository of digitised historic Ministry publications.

If you are looking for a digitised Ministry publication, you can search across just these resources by selecting the ‘Digitised publications’ tab above the main search box on the library website.

You can find current Ministry of Health publications in the publications section of this website.

The library is open to health professionals and members of the public who are researching health-related issues. You can’t borrow directly from the library, but you can:

  • come into the library to use the collection for research (a photocopier is available). Please arrange access before you visit by emailing [email protected].
  • use our online catalogue to find out what we have, then contact your public or tertiary library to arrange an interlibrary loan. (Your library may charge you for their interlibrary loan service).
