The COVID-19 Disease Indicators were developed based on Dr Ayesha Verrall’s recommendations in the Rapid Audit of Contact Tracing for COVID-19 in New Zealand and provide an end-to-end view of the public health response to COVID-19.
4 December: Following identification of technical issue with timeframe data fields between 19 August-22 September we have now retrospectively corrected our data for this period and conducted a root cause analysis to identify the cause of the technical issue. The technical issue affected only the reporting of our data and the Ministry’s contact tracing methods and processes were unaffected. They are robust and continue to be an effective measure in fighting COVID-19.
