The Office of the Director of Mental Health and Addiction Services’ 2020 Regulatory Report provides information and statistics relating to the role of the Director of Mental Health and Addiction Services in the mental health and addiction sector. It presents data about the use of compulsory assessment and treatment legislation in Aotearoa New Zealand, including the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992 (the Mental Health Act) and the Substance Addiction (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 2017 (the Substance Addiction Act).
