This document provides updated population health recommendations for feeding babies and toddlers, from birth to two years of age, to promote healthy growth and development and help establish healthy eating behaviours.

The document is written for health practitioners and others who provide advice on nutrition for New Zealand babies and toddlers.

The evidence-based guidelines aim to meet the needs of the sector. They:

  • highlight key information on feeding babies and toddlers
  • are easy to read and understand
  • have been informed by international evidence with input from New Zealand experts
