This publication is a clinical best practice document for all forms of breast reconstruction surgery post mastectomy in the New Zealand context. It can be used to achieve equity of access and consistency of approach across the country, as well as encourage appropriate resource allocation into breast reconstruction in the future. Within an evolving evidence base, these guidelines reflect a combination of peer opinion and the best available evidence at the date of publication.
