A suite of e-learning and information resources to support the revised Mental Health Act Guidelines were launched on 27 January 2023 at an event in Wellington.

In 2021 Manatū Hauora contracted Te Pou to develop resources to support the practice outlined in the recently revised Mental Health Act Guidelines.

Te Pou worked with the sector, people with lived experience, and whānau to develop the resources, which focus on a person-centred approach and highlight the important of relationships and values when supporting people through the toughest of times.

The suite of resources consists of two parts. There is an e-learning series for the workforce, and two informational booklets and an animated video for people who are experiencing the Act and their whānau.

The resources are available on the Te Pou website - The Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992.
