Regulatory amendments to improve the economic opportunities of the Medicinal Cannabis Scheme

The Medicinal Cannadis Scheme (the Scheme) was Introduced on 1 April 2020 through the Misuse of Drugs (Medicinal Cannabis) Regulations 2019 to enable the commercial cultivation of medicinal cannabis domestically, and the manufacture and supply of products made to a good quality standard.

This regulatory impact statement includes a summary of feedback from idustry stakeholders on te current export settings and examines options to address key issues that have arisen since the implementation of the Scheme.
