COVID-19 Trends and Insights Reports were produced as an internal document to provide leaders and decision makers with an overview of the COVID-19 situation in New Zealand beyond daily situational reporting. This proactive release includes reports created between December 2021 to September 2022. 

From September 2022, the weekly Trends and Insights Report was published publicly. 

Between January 2023 – 10 November 2023, the weekly Trends and Insights Report was replaced with an interactive dashboard including graphs and data on rates over time of COVID-19 cases, hospital admissions for COVID-19, and deaths attributed to COVID-19. Effective from 10 November 2023, this was discontinued, however the COVID-19 Dashboard remains operational on the Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand website here
