This Cabinet material outlines the rationale for a series of changes to the Cremation Regulations 1973, including allowing cremation to occur in lower risk settings without a medical or nurse practitioner identifying the body, and the lower risk setting of 'hospice care' to be narrowed to settings which provide specialised palliative care.
