This Cabinet material sets out the steps that need to be taken to reduce unnecessary regulatory burden on the hemp sector by replacing the Misuse of Drugs (Industrial Hemp) Regulations 2006 with new permission regulations. This work supports the Government's commitment to ensure regulatory requirements are fit for purpose.
