At the end of March 2023, the Minister and Associate Minister of Health commissioned the Hauora Māori Advisory Committee to undertake a high-level assessment of the early progress and plans of Te Aka Whai Ora to ensure it is meeting expectations, commitments and priorities set by Cabinet.
In the interest of transparency and public trust, Manatū Hauora has released key documents that led to the release of the Hauora Māori Advisory Committee’s review of Te Aka Whai Ora. These documents provide context into the development of the review.
Some parts of this information release would not be appropriate to release and, if requested, would be withheld under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). Where this is the case, the relevant sections of the Act that would apply have been identified, in this case s9(2)(i): to enable a Minister or agency holding the information to carry out, without prejudice or disadvantage, commercial activities.
