This Regulatory Impact Statement was prepared by the Health Assurance Unit within the Public Service Commission in May 2025 to inform Cabinet decisions on amendments to the Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022.

On 14 June 2025, Minister of Health Hon Simeon Brown announced Cabinet had approved amendments to the Act and that an Amendment Bill would be introduced to Parliament.
