2019 amendment to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975

This Impact Analysis has been prepared by the Ministry of Health. It provides an analyses of the options for using a health based approach to drug use that focuses on prevention, harm reduction and early intervention for drug users and focuses enforcement powers and penalties on those who import, manufacture and supply dangerous synthetic drugs.
