This chartbook of Māori and non-Māori cancer statistics provides comprehensive analysis of differences in cancer incidences, mortality, stage of diagnosis and survival in New Zealand using national cancer registrations, deaths data and hospital admissions data for the six-year period 1996–2001 (inclusive). The statistics in this cancer chart book are presented by gender and by total population, and are also age standardised and age specific.
