Palliative Care Nurses New Zealand (PCNNZ) is a national organisation representing the professional interests of nurses providing palliative care across all clinical settings. Aims include supporting and validating a palliative approach as an integral part of all nursing care, promoting the collaboration between nurses working in specialist and generalist settings, and supporting the advancement of palliative nursing knowledge through education, research and clinical practice development.
Advance care planning is a process of discussion and shared planning for the medical treatment and care people may want in the future. The National Advance Care Planning Cooperative was formed in June 2010 by clinicians and health care providers across New Zealand to facilitate the spread of ACP services in New Zealand.
