Patient information / what to expect

You first contact will be with a clinic nurse. We'll arrange an ultrasound, blood test and swabs. You'll be offered counselling. Then we'll book you an appointment at our Thursday clinic.

At the Thursday clinic you'll have an appointment with the doctor. This may be in person or via phone. The doctor will do a medical assessment and arrange contraception or an appointment to get long-acting reversible contraceptive (LARC). They may arrange an ultrasound if you need on. Then you'll have a pre-assessment clinic with a nurse.

If you're having an early medical abortion the medicine for it will either be given to you in person or sent via courier.

If you're having a surgical procedure you'll be given pre-medications at the Thursday clinic. Your procedure will be booked for the next day (Friday).
