Disclaimer for Canterbury DHB data

There have been some changes in data recording for short-stay Emergency Department (ED) cases in Christchurch since Dec 2020 when they moved to the new hospital. This has reduced the number of inpatient records for services where the patients come into hospital via the ED. Instead of being reported to NMDS these events are now included in NNPAC data only.

From 2024/2025, Youth self-harm hospitalisation reports will be published biannually, for quarters 2 and 4.

The next quarter to be published will be Quarter 4, 2024.
