About Tier 1 statistics
Tier 1 statistics are the most important official statistics. They measure the performance and progress of New Zealand's economy, society and environment.
All agencies producing Tier 1 statistics must comply with the Principles and Protocols for Producers of Tier 1 Statistics.
From 2023, the Tier 1 statistics calendar is published by Health New Zealand.
