The Schedule outlines:

  • health and development assessments for the child
  • family and whānau care and support
  • relevant health education material.

The Schedule also includes a general practitioner check at 6 weeks that is linked to babies’ 6-week immunisations.

Health and development assessments relate specifically to babies and children and focuses on their health, wellbeing and development. Family and whānau support looks at interventions, referrals and support for babies, children, their families and whānau. The list of health education resources are grouped by subject, relevant to each core visit.
