Summary

This guide describes the content of the New Zealand Health Survey (NZHS) for the period July 2014 to June 2015. It outlines the history of the NZHS and its development into a continuous survey, describes the process for developing the adult and child questionnaires for 2014/15, and gives an overview of each section of the survey. The module topics for adults and children in 2014/15 were:

  • Sexual and reproductive health for adults aged 16–74 years
  • Biomedical tests (blood and urine) for a sub-sample of adults
  • Child development health and wellbeing
  • Rheumatic fever clip-on for children and adults under 25 years
