Tatau Niho Māori: Oral Health of Māori (Spinning Wheel)

Published online:
24 May 2012

This spinning wheel provides selected indicators from the New Zealand Oral Health Survey 2009 for Māori.

It covers:

  • oral health conditions
  • protective factors
  • use of oral health services
  • perceptions and impacts of oral health status.

It presents prevalences and means for Māori and non-Māori adults and children.

The spinning wheel is an innovative way of disseminating information in an easy-to-use, compact format. The wheel will be useful for DHBs, oral health providers, Māori health providers, universities, students and the general population.
