Peer worker roles for the Preventing and Minimising Gambling Harm sector – Literature Review.

This literature review collated national and international literature about peer worker roles, services, and workforce development for gambling harm services to provide advice on sustainable workforce development activities.

The review identified a knowledge gap in this area in the New Zealand literature specifically for gambling harm services.

Overall, there is a dearth of information available both nationally and internationally, largely anecdotal. Future development of peer support services needs to consider a wide range of factors with key stakeholders in the gambling harm sector.
