Please note that this is an old standard and has been withdrawn. New cancer related standards are on Te Aho o Te Kahu’s website.
HISO 10038, the National Cancer Core Data Standard, has been developed to provide a consistent approach to the collection and storage of core cancer data in New Zealand.
It is made up of the following parts:
- HISO 10038.1 Interim National Cancer Core Data Business Process Standard
- HISO 10038.3 Interim National Cancer Core Data Definitions Standard (this document).
The National Cancer Core Data Definitions document describes the full core dataset, including descriptions, source standards, data types, lengths, domains, verification rules and guides for use for each data element and models the inter-relationship between the elements.
