The Innovation: TWONA IMAP Online
The TWONA comprehensive online application has been specifically developed to provide Social Service Providers access to Te Puna’s Whānau Ora Harakeke IMAP® Model of practice. IMAP® is an intensive, home and centre-based case management service, which comprises a multi-disciplinary team to support, motivate and mentor whānau to achieve self-determined goals. It is a Whānau-focused service built around the kaupapa of restoring Tapu and Mana (Dignity).
The TWONA online application assists practitioners’ documentation through: Whānau assessment; Whānau and self-task time management; progress recording; and review and referral using ipad, iphone and laptop. It also assists administration capability to continuously monitor, audit and track best practice, and to generate reports from integrated data collected inter-whānau, in-house and across government agencies in the sector.

Te Puna Whānau Ora Network Alliance Ltd (TWONA) was established in May 2011. It is a subsidiary company of Te Puna Hauora ō Te Raki Pae Whenua, following dis-establishment as a Primary Health Organisation along with four others in the Waitemata District Health Board district.
