Beyondblue is a national, independent, not-for-profit organisation working to address issues associated with depression, anxiety and related substance misuse disorders in Australia.

This website is part of the National Depression Initiative and provides information about depression and how to seek help.

Health and Disability Commissioner
The Health and Disability Commissioner helps ensure that people’s rights are upheld when they use health and disability services. Its role includes advocating for people with mental health and addication problems, and monitoring the implementation of the national mental health strategy.

International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership
The International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership (IIMHL) is a unique international collaborative that focuses on improving mental health and addictions services. IIMHL is a collaboration of eight countries: The Department of Health, England, The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration, US, The Mental Health Directorate of the Ministry of Health, New Zealand, The Scottish Executive, Scotland, Health Service Executive, Republic of Ireland, Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Principal Committee, Australia, The Ministry of Health and Canadian Mental Health Commission, Canada, The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions and Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Sweden

IIMHL organises systems for international networking, innovation sharing and problem solving across countries and agencies. The overall aim is to provide better outcomes for people who use mental health and addiction services and their families

Like Minds, Like Mine is a public health funded project to reduce the stigma of mental illness and the discrimination that people with experience of mental illness face everyday in the community.
