How to get in touch with the Assisted Dying Service.

If you are unsure where to direct your query, please email [email protected] and your email will be sent to the appropriate person at the Ministry of Health or Te Whatu Ora.

If you or someone you know are experiencing distress in relation to any aspect of the Assisted Dying services please speak to your general practitioner or call or text 1737 for free to speak to a trained counsellor at any time.

If you are considering assisted dying, you are encouraged to speak to your doctor or someone else in your health care team in the first instance. You will need to raise assisted dying, as they cannot raise this with you.

If your doctor does not provide assisted dying services, or you do not feel comfortable discussing this with them, you can contact the Assisted Dying team at Te Whatu Ora for assistance. Please contact the team via:
