FASD Governance Group

The FASD Cross-Agency Governance Group provides strategic oversight and governance to support a collaborative cross-agency approach to implementing the FASD Cross-Agency Action Plan. 

The Group is responsible for promoting a collaborative cross-agency approach to implementing the Action Plan through the provision of strategic oversight and governance in order to: improve understanding of FASD across the social sector; and monitor progress to achieve the goals and key milestones of the FASD Action Plan.

The Group consists of senior managers and clinical leaders from the Health Promotion Agency, Oranga Tamariki and Ministry of Health, responsible for implementing the Action Plan, across the breadth of the priority areas of prevention, early identification, support and evidence as well as other strategically aligned work programmes.

FASD Coordination Group meetings

The FASD Cross-Agency Coordination Group monitors and coordinates cross-agency activities in the FASD Action Plan. 

The Group consists of representatives from Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Health Promotion Agency, Ministry for Children (Oranga Tamariki), Ministry of Primary Industries, Ministry of Justice, NZ Police and Department of Corrections. The group was established in March 2017, and meets monthly.
