Query
Patient presented to outpatient clinic at hospital A to have radiotherapy. On assessment prior to radiotherapy patient was found to be unwell so radiotherapy was withheld. Patient was then admitted acutely to an inpatient ward with sepsis. As patient was out of area they were transferred to their local General Surgery unit at hospital B within a few hours of being admitted for further treatment.
Should the carcinoma be coded on this event?
