SNOMED CT Expo 2021 - Virtual Conference

28 - 29 October 2021

The annual SNOMED CT Expo is SNOMED International's premiere annual conference

SNOMED CT Expo brings together government officials, health IT professionals, health practitioners, researchers, academics and software developers from around the world. The speakers this year are from five continents.

The SNOMED CT Expo is hosted by a different member country each year. Past Expos have taken place in Uruguay (2015), New Zealand (2016), Slovakia (2017), Canada (2018) and Malaysia (2019). Last year SNOMED Expo was a virtual conferent due to COVID-19.

This year, SNOMED CT Expo 2021 will also be a virtual conference. It will be held on 28 - 29 October 2021.

Discover how SNOMED CT enables data driven health systems and improved patient outcomes from a wide range of global implementers.

The presenters will share their SNOMED CT experiences online and interact with their audience via live Q & A sessions (overnight New Zealand time). Recorded presentations wil be made available immediately after sessions conclude.

SNOMED CT New Zealand Edition April 2021 release now available

The April 2021 release of the SNOMED CT New Zealand Edition is now available from the Member Licensing and Distribution Service.

This release is our third to be produced with the SNOMED International Managed Service, which enables us to be more responsive to health providers and their industry partners, and to create NZ-specific concepts, terms and reference sets.

This release includes a set of consumer-friendly terms in te reo Māori for the most common health conditions and interventions. This set and the previously released consumer frineldy terms in English is available for trial use and comment.

The release also includes seven new reference sets, covering adverse events from immunisation (AEFI), pharmaceutical doses and comon allergens.

All New Zealand content now appears in the SNOMED CT Browser.

Our releases are six-monthly, and the next will be in October 2021.

SNOMED CT New Zealand Edition October 2020 release now available

The October 2020 release of the SNOMED CT New Zealand Edition is now available from the member licensing and distribution service.

This release is our second to be produced with the SNOMED International Managed Service, which enables us to be more responsive to health providers and their industry partners, and to create NZ-specific concepts, terms and reference sets.

New content in this release includes a set of consumer-friendly terms in te reo Māori for the most common health conditions and interventions. This set and the previously released consumer friendly terms in English are available for trial use and comment. Our sincere thanks and acknowledgements to THINK Hauora and Te Tihi o Ruahine for this important new content. E mihi ana ki a THINK Hauora me Te Tihi o Ruahine mo enei taonga hou.

The release also adds reference sets for ophthalmology and nephrology. 

All New Zealand content now appears in the SNOMED CT Browser.

Our releases are six-monthly, and the next will be in April 2021.

The April 2020 production release of the SNOMED CT New Zealand Edition is now available from the member licensing and distribution service. In the state of national emergency around the COVID-19 epidemic, we are posting this release for the benefit of existing users who need to updgrade their installations to incorporate COVID-19 concepts and terms.

This release is our first to be produced with the SNOMED International Managed Service, which enables us to be more responsive to health providers and their industry partners, and to create NZ-specific concepts and terms.

All New Zealand content now appears in the SNOMED CT Browser.

Our releases are six-monthly, and the next will be in October 2020.
