The Office of Radiation Safety wish everyone who uses our services a safe and restful holiday period.

We will be closed for the holiday period from the end of the day, Monday 23 December 2024 and re-open on Wednesday 8 January 2025.

We encourage everyone who may need to submit a licence or consent application over the holiday period to submit their application form before Friday 13 December 2024.

Licence and consent application forms received by us before 5.00pm Friday 13 December 2024 will be acknowledged and processing will commence.

Application forms received after 13 December 2024 will be acknowledged and invoiced once financial processing recommences on Wednesday 8 January 2025.

If your licence is due to expire between 13 December 2024 and Wednesday 8 January 2025, please ensure that your completed renewal application form is received by us before the licence expiry date.

Application forms received from Wednesday 8 January 2025 are likely to be subject to delays in processing and issuing invoices due to the expected volume of work following the holiday closedown period. Therefore, please also ensure that your completed application for renewal is received by us before the licence expiry date.

Enquiries received after Wednesday 18 December 2024 that are not related to licence or consent applications will also be processed when we re-open on Wednesday 8 January 2025.

In the case of a radiation emergency, where people or the environment may be harmed, please call: 021 393 632 immediately.
