Mana Whaikaha launches on Monday

With the prototype of the transformed disability support system, Mana Whaikaha, launching in MidCentral on Monday, 1 October, the System Transformation team has been working to ensure it is ready for disabled people and whānau to start engaging with on day one. 

Induction for the two teams and developing the website and business processes is continuing. The MidCentral Governance Group members, appointed by the Minister for Disability Issues, and Associate Minister of Health, were announced. This group is made up of disabled people, whānau, provider and workforce representatives alongside people with governance experience. They are:

  • Maxine Dale
  • Peter Ireland
  • Angela Hobden
  • Heather Browning.

From 1 October, disabled people and whānau can get in contact with Mana Whaikaha by phone, email, web and Connector hubs throughout MidCentral. Their locations can be found at on the Mana Whaikaha website.
