Digital Health Week NZ was held in Hamilton between 18th and 22nd of November 2019. It was organised by Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ) and featured delegates, 350 speakers, 17 events over five days.
The Ministry of Health delegation was led by Shayne Hunter, Deputy Director-General, Data and Digital and comprised of key members from his Directorate as well as a few members from across the Ministry. Dr David Clark, Minister of Health, Dr Ashley Bloomfield, Director-General Ministry of Health and Shayne Hunter delivered keynote messages at the plenary session held on 18th November.
The Ministry had a booth to showcase Ministry Data and Digital activities with the highlight being the national Health Information Platform (nHIP). Nine speakers from the Data and Digital Directorate presented developments on critical topics of interest.
