The newly established Cancer Control Agency received the gift of a Māori name - Te Aho o Te Kahu - on the 18 June at a ceremony hosted by the Minister of Health at Parliament.
Professor Diana Sarfati, CE of the Agency says, "The gifting and receiving of the name is symbolic of the Cancer Control Agency’s commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and to equity. It is also a signal of the Agency’s commitment to uniting stakeholders along the cancer continuum."’
