The Ministerial Advisory Group for Health (MAG) was established by the Minister of Health in December 2017 to:
- provide independent advice on the Ministry’s progress on implementing the Government’s priorities
- assist the Ministry to develop its system leadership capability in response to the 2017 Performance Improvement Framework (PIF) review.
MAG’s final report to the Minister was received by the Ministry in November 2018. The Ministry worked closely with MAG to progress its work programme during its tenure, and we appreciate the insights generated throughout this process and the support provided by MAG members.
The response document sets out the progress made by the Ministry since the PIF review, and sets out the work already underway to address the issues raised in MAG’s report.
