Applying for a Drinking-water Subsidy: Guidelines for applicants and district health board public health units
Revised criteria for drinking-water subsidies
Summary
Please note: Drinking-water subsidies are still available to communities that meet the eligibility criteria for the Scheme, however, the guidance documents and the application form for the Scheme have been amended to better explain and clarify the eligibility criteria. These documents will be available by contacting your local District Health Board Public Health Unit in early November.
In May 2005, the Government announced it would make subsidies available from 2006 to 2016, to help small communities improve their drinking-water systems. These subsidies are administered by the Ministry of Health.
This document sets out the criteria and processes that will be used to determine eligibility for drinking-water subsidies.
