Applying for designation as an auditing agency

Under the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2001, As part of the certification process a provider must be audited by a designated auditing agency. Auditing agencies need to be designated by the Director-General of Health to audit the provision of health care services by providers.

Application form

An application form for designation as an auditing agency is available below:

New applications for designation may take several months to process. Re-designations will require applications to be made at least eight weeks prior to the expiry of a current designation.

Successful applications will take effect from the date of a gazette notice and will specify the kinds of health or disability services the agency is designated to audit.

If an applicant would like to pay the required fee by direct credit they will need to contact HealthCERT before submitting their application form for details.
