The 'Hospital-based maternity events 2006' provides health statistics on the pregnancy and childbirth characteristics of mothers who gave birth in hospital, and the babies' characteristics and outcomes.

This report contains 14 recommendations to the Minister of Health, from the Working Group for Achieving Quality in Emergency Departments. This Working Group was established in 2008, with a membership consisting of emergency department experts, and has reached its conclusions while undertaking dialogue with the wider health sector. Upon receipt of this report from the Working Group, the Minister of Health has determined that the report should be released for a full public consultation, and this is an opportunity for you to have your say.

The Donald Beasley Institute report examines the impact of the closure on residents, families and staff three years ago of the Kimberley Centre. The institution began life in 1945 as the Levin Farm Mental Deficiency Colony at one point held 750 residents and operated its own school.
