Workforce publications

The Mental Health and Addiction Workforce Action Plan identifies the priority areas and actions required to develop an integrated, competent, capable, high-quality and motivated workforce focused on improving health and wellbeing. It will guide decisions about investment and resourcing for the next five years and is relevant to all people working to improve outcomes for those with mental health and addiction issues.

The Standing Order Guidelines are a resource for the health professionals working with standing orders.  It provides a user-friendly guide to assist issuers when developing and/or reviewing standing orders.  It also outlines the roles and responsibilities of health professionals issuing  standing orders and those working under standing orders. 

The aim of the demonstration was to test the concept of enabling a pharmacist more time to provide improved patient services without compromising public safety in the dispensing of medicines

This guide presents a framework of agreed principles and processes for stakeholders and medical specialists to use when developing programmes and reviewing systems that enable medical specialists in New Zealand to demonstrate their competence by participating in a range of activities that are likely to improve their performance.
