HIV/AIDS health education resources
The following resources are available from the HealthEd website:
- A Compact Guide to Sexual Health – Student booklet for teachers to order as class sets to use with the school’s sexual health materials.
- Being Safer Sexually – Information about sexually transmitted infections and their prevention via safe sex and the proper use of condoms.
- First Aid Precautions for Hepatitis B, HIV/AIDS and Other Blood Borne Viruses – Sticker listing precautions for health workers when dealing with blood or body fluid from patients with bloodborne viruses.
- HIV Testing in Pregnancy – All pregnant women are offered an antenatal screening test for HIV/AIDS as part of their routine care. This pamphlet explains the test.
- Preventing HIV Infection – General information on HIV, AIDS, other sexually transmissible infections, and condom use.
- Voluntary Counselling and Testing for Diagnosis of HIV Infection – Information on pre- and post-test counselling of patients being tested for HIV (for health professionals).
- What are STI Tests? – Pamphlet explaining what to expect when going for an STI test.
