This cross-agency group was set up to help develop a national strategic action plan for antimicrobial resistance. The plan is intended to be adaptive and responsive, and aims to minimise the incidence of antimicrobial resistance across New Zealand.
This group has stakeholder representation from across government agencies and other relevant professional bodies. It will feed back to governance structures within the Ministry of Health, the Ministry for Primary Industries and other agencies as required.
The first meeting for this Group took place at the beginning of March 2016. You can download the minutes for previous meetings at Minutes of the Antimicrobial Resistance Strategic Action Plan Development Group.
The next meeting will be held on the 1 December 2016.
