Accountability and funding
The National Health Board is responsible for funding, monitoring and ensuring the sector is compliant with accountability expectations.
It ensures compliance with health regulation by Health and other sectors, such as local government. It advises on the current performance of the sector, areas where targeted effort may be required, and trends in performance indicators and service expectations.
